Safety First

Students will be instructed in construction site etiquette, fire tool use, and any other safety practices while working around machines.

Course Features

 
Hands-on Practical Work Oriented Training
It is recommended that our loaded Class 1 Driver Training be included as part of the Heavy Equipment Operator Training Course.

A Class 1 learner’s license is required if the student is planning to up-grade to a Class 1 driver’s license.

Did You Know?: Heavy equipment operators are more employable if they hold valid Class 1 driver’s licenses.

 

General Topics Covered During Training

 

Our courses generally start on a Monday.

  • We start a 7 am Monday to Friday and finish at 3:30 p.m.
  • Courses can vary from 1 to 12 weeks in length depending on course content and desired outcome.
  • We offer continuous intake to accommodate everyone.

The Fox Heavy Equipment Operator Training Course provides both practical instruction. Student’s start with the basic operations and move on too more advanced training as they gain more experience.

Note:

Upon completion of our training it is an easy transition to using other attachments on the excavators such as butt and top, feller-buncher, rock drills, compactor, machines.

Course Completion

Once the Fox Heavy Equipment Operator Training Course is completed the student receives a Certificate stating the date of completion, and all the machines the student operated.  We also write a letter of recommendation for the student to present to potential employers.
